History
Grizz El Sayed was born somewhere in the Sierra National Forest in western California and abandoned there for unknown reasons. Because El Sayed was born very hairy, some bears in the region adopted him as their own and raised him. During his time with his bear parents, he picked up several bear habits such as hunting and hibernating, but when his parents eventually discovered that he was, in fact, not a bear, they brought him to the nearest city and left him there. Young El Sayed was then taken in by a kind Hispanic-American family, who gave them their name and the best education they could provide.
Because of El Sayed's rough upbringing, he struggled to properly relate to the people around him, but eventually was able to connect to the people around him via Blaseball. El Sayed is very athletic and has always excelled on the field. Due the love of Blaseball he developed, he was ecstatic when he scored a spot as a lineup player for the Moab Hellmouth Sunbeams.
Adaptation
After a while, El Sayed began to undergo an adaptation from all of his time in Hellmouth. El Sayed, according to his teammates, became "slightly larger, then slightly smaller, then probably normal," and they stopped paying attention to it after that. El Sayed, in addition to the size confusion, grew more hairy somehow, and started wearing sunglasses at all times, including during sleep. Nobody knows why, but they refuse to take them off and on the few occasions where people have managed to remove them, there has been another pair underneath.
Personal Life
El Sayed is a very mild-mannered and overall chill person, despite his intimidating stature. They never concern themself with drama or arguments because they know it's not worth it, usually finding ways to walk away and not be followed.
Eating
El Sayed also eats enough to feed a family of three (bears), and is usually snacking on something when not actively playing in a game. When El Sayed hasn't had something to eat for too long, he gets a little hangry, scavenging for food and being a lot less chill than normal. This also applies when he wakes up after hibernation. This is the only circumstance in which El Sayed ever loses their cool and is hard to work with.
Sleeping
El Sayed, due to his bear upbringing, has always "hibernated" in the winter and had trouble sleeping during the rest of the year. During their hibernation months, they have been known to participate in games as normal, regardless of the fact that they are asleep, with just a little more drool. When not hibernating, El Sayedhas frequently been caught pretending to sleep in order to not weird people out or to get out of arguments by saying things like "I'm gonna go take a nap," or, "Boy, I sure am tired. I should go take a nap."
